Capturing Us Mixed Media Layout

Good morning! I’m super excited to share this mixed media layout I created using the TCW811 Floral Statement Stencil. I love this stencil and thought it would make a great frame for the outdoor pictures I wanted to scrapbook of my sister, Katie and her dog Odie.

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop Provided me with products to create this layout. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To begin, I used the Serenade and In the Park inks along with a blending brush to carefully blend through the stencils onto white cardstock.

It’s very importantly to blend gently so that you do not move the stencil. If your stencil moves, you could get a ghost image.

If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have blended a light blue ink onto the white cardstock to create a “sky” background and then go over it with the stencil, but I’m super in love with how this turned out. It’s so pretty and it came out exactly the way I had envisioned it.

Next, I splashed black spray ink using the tip of a tiny brush and then added the epoxy sticker frames to create the design of the layout.

Then, I filled in the grid using a variety of embellishments, moving things around until I was satisfied with the look. I really had fun with this layout.

Here is a closer look at the stencil So pretty! Those rosette florals are my favorite!

I haven’t had my mojo in weeks and I haven’t felt like scrapping. So glad I am feeling like my normal self. I do believe that we are all struggling during these difficult times. All we can do is put one foot in front of the other and keep going. If you’re struggling…I see you! Big hugs to you. Thank you for visiting today!
