Mixed Media Summer Tier Tray

Hello friends. Nicole here with my summer tier tray. This was such a fun project to put together. It took me a few days, but I really enjoyed it. And I LOVE it! Sometimes, I pour my heart and soul into a project and it just doesn’t work out…but this one made me happy and I’m happy to share it with you!

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To begin, I painted the blocks using a variety of acrylic paints. I wanted to use bright and pretty colors!

Once the paint was completely dry, I used a palette knife to smooth the Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste through the stencils. I used the TCW428s Mini Climbing Vine Rev Stencil for the pink block. Then, I used the TCW2300 Gentle Leaves Slimline stencil for the blue block.

I used the Gel Medium to glue down the chipboard pieces. I just realized that I forgot to write 1 cent in the tiny white box! I’ll have to do that… I used a white gel pen to draw the ice cubes inside the pitcher. I mixed yellow paint with the gel medium for the lemon, using my fingers to spread the medium onto the chipboard to give it a nice texture.

I used the same technique with the larger lemon… I mixed yellow paint with the gel medium and rubbed my fingers all over the chipboard to give it a nice texture.

Since I was having so much fun… I decided to alter the back of the lemon with something fun…

I used the TCW811 Floral Statement stencil and the Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste to create the patterns onto the wood piece. Once the modeling paste was completely dry, I painted the patterns using a thin paint brush and acrylic paint.

It’s a bit funky, but cute!

I hope this post inspired you today! Thank you so much for visiting!
