I confess when I buy clothes and there is a nice tag attached to it I keep it. I can’t believe I’m the only one right? I create backgrounds on my tiny tags in batches. With backgrounds done the fear of the blank page is gone. This tag was already painted black and I added some paper to it.

I love to add texture to the background but I don’t always want it to be seen. You know that hidden texture that can be seen when you look up close to a painting that you didn’t notice at first? I love that. I like to use TCW gel mediums for that. They are crystal clear and you don’t always notice it’s there. On this tag I added TCW920 Tropical Fronds to the tag with TCW9006 Gel Medium and I let it dry. I love that I can see the paper through the gel medium.

I was going to keep it black and white but I changed my mind. I used my fingers and added paint to it. I sprayed parts of it with water and let the paint mix together.

To finish the tag I added TCW914 Plumeria to the tag with TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste and added a word sticker.

What do I do with all these tiny tags? I put them in art journals, use them as a tag for a present, bookmarks, and some I love so much that I frame. There is no limit to the use of a tiny tag.
