Under the Sea on a Clear Tag

Hi Everyone! Today I’m going to show you how I created a tag with one stencil and a piece of plastic. It was a lot of fun to create. For this project, I used the following: TCW918 Seahorse, TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste, and Grafix Clear Craft Plastic.

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

To start I cut a tag by tracing the shape on the plastic. The plastic is protected by a sheet of film on both sides. Only take off the film on one side that way the other side will stay protected or you can take it off. Your choice.

I added a background using alcohol inks. Alcohol inks are perfect for the plastic, great colors and it dries fast.

Next I added the Seahorse stencil to the tag using Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste and waited for the whole thing to dry.

Now that the modeling paste is dry I started added color with acrylic paints.

When everything was dry, I turned the tag over and took of the film from the back.

Here is the my finished tag. I used a piece of white paper on the back so you can see all the colors.

Have you created any art with plastic and stencils? We would love to know. Please share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
