Loose Socks – Art Journal Spread

Good Morning all!  Helen here with a fun little art journal page for you today! This was inspired by a walk I took recently! LOL!! Ended up with my sock scrunched at the toe of my shoe!

Finished art journal spread using Stencil Butters and a Butterfly Stencil.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Product Used:

Using my 8” x 5” black dylusions journal, I started off my spread using these gorgeous Stencil Butters in some of my favorite colors…  TCW9063 Ocean Blue, TCW9066 Orchid and TCW9065Fuchsia I first placed TCW934 Sunny Butterfly Stencil to the right of my page and used a paintbrush to brush the stencil butter around. I first used the Orchid butter, then the Fuchsia, then blended in the Ocean Blue to the outside edges of the page.

Usine a black art journal, I used TCW934 Sunny Butterfly stencil and a paint brush to brush on Stencil Buttetrs in TCW9063 Ocean Blue, TCW9066 Orchid, and TCW9065 Fuchsia over the stencil and covered the whole pare.
Spread after applying the stencil butter through the butterfly stencil.

Next I used TCW554 Butterfly Collage Stencil and TCW9002 Black Gesso and sponged some of the x-patterns around the page. I added some white splatters using white ink.

Using a sponge and TCW09002 Black Gesso, I sponged this through the X's of TCW554 Butterfly Collage stencil, and added some white splatters to the whold page.

Lastly, I added my little girl and a sentiment and done! A good reminder to wear tight socks on my next hike!

I added my little girl image, my sentiment and done.

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!

  1. Hahaha, the picture is perfect for your quote, her wee face! 🙂 I hate it when ‘the sock thing’ happens and it’s always when you’re somewhere where you can’t nip out to fix it! This really made me laugh out loud, thank you, I love it xx
