Monochromatic AJ spread

Good Morning all!  Helen here with a little monochromatic art journal spread! I do love color, but sometimes I just need to do a monochromatic grey project!

Finished monochromatic art journal spread.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Products Used:

I used my 5” x 8” dylusions journal for today’s project. I first took my TCW248 Cubist stencil and sponged some archival ink in watering can across the left side, middle and bottom of my spread.

Using TCW248 Cubist stencil and archival ink in watering can, I used a sponge to sponge the color to the left, middle and bottom of my spread in my 5" x 8" journal.

I then used a sponge and sponged through TCW922 Ethereal stencil in random areas using TCW9010 Silver Gesso

(my new favorite gesso for sure!).

Using TCW9010 Silver Gesso and TCW922 Ethereal stencil, I sponged the gesso through some of the stencil onto the left and bottom of my page.

I added some grey splatters using ink and some outlining using a fine grey marker.

Add some splatters of grey ink and some outlines with fine grey marker.

Added my image, a bit of washi , my sentiment.. and done!

Sometimes simple Is best … for me anyway!

Add an in=mage, some washi tape, a sentiment, and done.

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!

We would love to see your projects made with TCW products!

  1. Absolutely smiled from ear to ear seeing this one. Where do I find the photo of the women dipping their toes at the beach? Is it on the tcw site?
