“Where Flowers Bloom” Mixed Media Art Journal

Hello my friends,

Marie-Christine with you today to present an Art Journal page with the wonderful new TCW products. You will see, they are magic! This is an all flowery and colorful page with Valentina’s collection stencils and stamps. The stencils are TCW929 Felicia Daisy and TCW928 Trumpet Daffodil. Stamps set are TCW2208 Precious Sentiments and TCW2207 Happy Sentiments. And of course some of new colourful Stencil Butters.

***THE CRAFTER’S WORKSHOP PROVIDED ME SOME PRODUCTS TO CREATE THIS PROJECT.THE OPINIONS I SHARE ARE SOLELY MY OWN.***

I start by making the background with some Distress Oxide spray. I choose vibrant colors.

I use TCW929 Felicia Daisy and TCW928 Trumpet Daffodil with some stencil Butter, TCW9065 Fuchsia, TCW9067 Gamboge, TCW9061 Chartreuse, TCW9064 Turquoise, TCW9062 Lime Green.

Here, I preferred to use my fingers to spread the stencil butter, this to have more precision with the shapes of the stencils. Don’t be afraid to get our hands dirty!

I make a half circle around the big flowers with a compass and a black marker. Then I stamp leaves on this line. Then I stamp leaves on this line as well as additional flowers inside the circle with TCW2208 Precious Sentiments Clear Stamps and TCW2207 Happy Sentiments Clear Stamps.

I put color on my stamping with watercolor paint. With a white marker, I color a few flower petals and make small dots.

With TCW2303 Rock Wall Slimline Stencil and some black ink, I make patterns inside the circle. I also do circles and dots in open spaces with markers.

Here, I add some white dots on the big flower.

I stamp a bird that I color with watercolors paints and that I adhere on the bottom of the page.

I print the title with TCW2208 Precious Sentiments Clear Stamps on a small piece of paper colored in pink watercolor and glue it on the page. Here, some details! I like the luminosity and the iridescent effect of the new Stencil Butters.

Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
