Hello Crafty Friends,
I wish you a beautiful and happy new year 2021.
Today, I leave my Art Journal to present you two mixed media cards. These may be very suitable for sending your New Year’s greetings. I used a lot of TCW stencils to make them. For the background I have chosen TCW585 Inspired Words, TCW734 Constellations, TCW5004 Star Shower. and for the little houses TCW851 Dotted Rings, TCW853 Circle Tiles, TCW832 Script Words, TCW837 Texture Plate, TCW876 Screen View.
***THE CRAFTER’S WORKSHOP PROVIDED ME SOME PRODUCTS TO CREATE THIS PROJECT.THE OPINIONS I SHARE ARE SOLELY MY OWN.***
I start by making the backgrounds with some Color Spare and watercolor paper, I use TCW9051 Watercolor Paper Pack, TCW9055 ColorSparx Berry Punch and TCW9058 ColorSparx Alpine.I sprinkle all three colors on the watercolor paper and add a little spray water with my Spritz Bottle. You can tilt the card to give a sag effect.
Now I do my decor for the little houses. I use a strip of watercolor paper that I stain with several colors of Distress Oxide, then I use the TCW 851Dotted Rings, TCW853 Circle Tiles, TCW832 Script Words, TCW837 Texture Plate and TCW876 Screen View with a dark gray ink.
I cut out some squares and roofs to make the houses. I mix the colors to assemble the two parts.
No need for perfection, even if the houses are a bit wobbly, it gives charm and whimsical.
I make the skies with TCW734 Constellations, TCW5004 Star Shower and the titles with TCW585 Inspired Words all with TCW9026 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste. Then I adhere the houses and I finish decorating them with white and black markers.
Some more details.
I always put my cards under a big dictionaries to make them flatter before sticking them on their supports.
I finish by putting a little gray Distress ink on the edges of the card. Then I adhere it on a white bristol paper and another of color with some clear double sided adhesive.
Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
