Have Monoprints? Now what?

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!! I wish everyone a happy, healthy, and peaceful new year.

You have a box full of monoprints, you love them and don’t want to use them but what I say is use them!!!

At the beginning of every new year, I create a ton of backgrounds on tags, in journals, and on canvas. It gives me a fresh start on future projects. Today I created backgrounds on tags. First here are the products I used:

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

Here are a few ways I used my monoprints to create backgrounds on my tags. First, I added gel medium to a tag and just add the whole monoprint to the tag. Using a brayer will help you take out any bubbles and spread the gel evenly.

For my second tag, I just randomly added gel medium to the tag but not the whole tag. Add the monoprint and when it dried I ripped it off and see what is left.

My third tag I tore up pieces of my monoprint to add to the tag.

My fourth tag, I ripped the monoprint into long strips to add to the tag.

On my last tag, I added a new Slimline Stencil called Gentle Leaves to the tag with the new Stencil Butters in Lime Green and Terra Verta. The texture is just like soft butter and such gorgeous colors.

Here is my finished tag.

Here are all the tags with their new backgrounds.

If you create anything with the new TCW stencils products, share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.
