“ME” Time art play

Good Morning all! Helen here with a little project for you today! I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing holiday season!  Even through these hectic times, you still need to find a little “ME” time to create! So today… I am showing you a fast easy project to do!

Art card made with stencils, gelli plate, ink sprays

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

All you need are a few things to create some fun art cards to send to your friends! I LOVE snarky… so this is where I am going today!

Gather some cardstock paper… I used 110 lb white cardstock… you can use anything at all!  Grab your favorite stencils and some spray ink or acrylic sprays.  I used quite a few different stencils from The Crafters Workshop….

Stencils and acrylic sprays used for project on cardstock

Next step-  get messy! I started with the lightest spray inks and randomly sprayed them though different stencils over my sheets of cardstock. I had about 8 sheets of cardstock I was working on and continued to spray using the inks and stencils as I saw fit. Whatever makes your heart soar is good! They may look like a hot mess, but they make amazing backgrounds!

Spray acrylic spray through the stencils randomly onto white cardstock sheet until you are happy with result.

Once these dried, I cut them down to 4.5” x 6.5”; added some word stamping using black archival ink; added my ladies; some washi tape that matched; and a little snarky saying! Easy Peasy and it was a blast to get messy and create for a little bit during the holidays!  A perfect “ME” time project!

Finished art cards with sprayed backgrounds, image, stamping with word stamp, washi tape and snarky sentiment.

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!

We would love to see your projects made with TCW products!
