JOY Christmas Card

Good Morning all! Helen here with a little project for you today! Christmas can be the most wonderous time of the year… and also the busiest! So I made a quick and easy Christmas card for you today using a couple stencils, some embossing powder and ink.

Finished Christmas card using TCW870 Fir Branch and TCW881 Reindeer Joy, copper embossing powder and distress ink.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Step 1:  I cut out a piece of scrapbook paper I had to 5 ¾” x 5 ¾”. I then placed TCW870 Fir Branch  stencil down with the fir branch coming from the top right hand corner. Using a VersaMark pen, I colored in the pinecones only to get the watermark down. I then sprinkled some Ranger Embossing Powder in Copper over the image and heat set it.

Using a 6x6 piece of patterned paper, Using Versamark pen, color in the pine cone only to get the watermark down for the embossing powder to go on.

Step 2:  Once the heat embossing was cooled down, I placed the stencil back over the embossed image and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough to colorize the pine needles through the stencil.

Place the Fir Branch stencil back over the embossed pinecones, and use Distress ink in Evergreen Bough to fill in the needles.

Step 3: I then used TCW881 Reindeer Joy  stencil and did the same technique in the bottom right corner: using my Versa mark pen to go over “JOY” and heat embossed using Ranger Embossing powder in Copper.

Using the copper embossing powder and TCW881 Reindeer Joy stencil color in the JOY with a versamark pen and heat emboss in copper.

Step 4: To finish off my card, I matted it and adhered it to my card base!  Easy Peasy! Have a super holiday where ever you are!

Finished Christmas card, matted and on card base.

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!
