I love scrap paper (well, scrap anything really!) and I love using it any and everywhere I can. Follow along to see how many scrap things I used on this single page layout.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

I keep all my card stock paper- clean, one sided printed and even double sided printed simply for the thickness of the paper. I used a double sided printed sheet to adhere cheap paper tape onto one side. These three coordinating rolls from the dollar store worked perfectly for a Christmas background. They’re cute, yes, but not great quality so I am more than glad to use them up anyway I can.

Note: if your paper tape doesn’t stick like it should, adhere a thin layer of adhesive down first (spray adhesive would be ideal) before applying the tape.

On a recycled cardboard packaging tag, I blended Distress Oxide Ink (Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, and Salty Ocean) through 12×12 TCW886 Shape Landscape Stencil with blending brushes.

I added a black swatch of paint in the middle to make a contrasting space for the words I’m going to stencil on in the next step.

On top of the black paint, with a gold gel pen I drew the word MERRY through 12×12 TCW880 Merry Tree Stencil and the word CHRISTMAS through 6×6 TCW880 Merry Tree Stencil.

I backed the tag onto a scrap piece of green paper and added a scrap piece of ribbon from leftover packaging through the hole punched hole.

The photo backing, the printed girl with the presents and the punched snowflakes are all from scrap pieces of paper. The photo was even printed on scrap photo paper.

The corners of the layout are layered with scrap pieces of a junk mail envelope cut to look like the wrapping of a present.

To bring it all together, I added a thin gold border around the edge of the layout using TCW9037 Grecian Gold Modeling Paste with a palette knife.

I added few splashed of gold acrylic paint on the whole layout and called this scrappy page complete!
