Card ~ Quick 5 Minute Cards

Distress oxides and stencil # TCW157S

Hi, it’s Charmaine here for another quick tutorial on how to make quick and WOW cards in less than 5 minutes each.

All these cards are made with 110lbs cardstock and are top folding A2 sized.

TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with, but the opinions and creations are my own.

My first card was made with the Flower Frenzy stencil TCW 157S and three different distress oxides (Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, and Tumbled Glass). Use A2 sized 110lbs (or heavy cardstock) and apply Tumbled Glass all over the paper. You can apply this even quicker by smearing the pad straight onto the paper. Then use the other two colors to fill out the stencil.

The white border on top was made using a Spellbinders Border metal die, also out of 110lbs cardstock. The sentiment is from Picket White Fence Studios and the girl is from a Tim Holtz Paper Dolls paper pack. Use double-sided foam tape for both the girl and white border to give the card some dimension.

When I try to herd my children to take a picture, it’s always an ordeal. So when they are finally in position, I usually yell: “Stand there and smile pretty!!”. Hence my second card!

Distress Oxide and stencil #TCW806s

This Spanish Tile stencil TCW#806S is gorgeous on a Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide background with a Salty Ocean center.

I used the same Spellbinders metal border die for the two sides on double-sided foam tape on the card.

I finished it with a saying made with a Dymo Label maker and another Paper Doll from Tim Holtz.

The third card was made just as quickly as the previous two.

Distress oxide and stencil #832S

Scripty Words stencil TCW832s is very versatile. I started with a distress oxide Evergreen Bough background and filled with colors Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick.

I finished this one with a paper doll from the store, Joann’s (I think), and heat embossed the sentiment from Picket Fence Studios.

My last card is my favorite as my mouth always gets me in trouble!

The background was made using Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick. The colors through the stencil are Evergreen Bough and Speckled Egg.

I finished the card with a white frame made with a My Favorite Things metal die and BackChat Stickers from Dylusions.

I hope you can use some of my techniques today to create interesting, fun and QUICK cards for your stash!

VERY inky fingers,
Charmaine
