“Back to school” Mixed Media Art Journal

Hello Crafty Friends,

Marie-Christine with you today with a vintage Art Journal page. It’s time to go back to school after that well-deserved summer vacation. I chose two beautiful stencils, TCW347 Kaleidescope, TCW454 Specimens and some TCW9009 Black Modeling Paste.

“Bonne Rentrée” Mixed media Art Journal

I start by making the background with lime Distress Oxide. And, I use TCW347 Kaleidescope with orange Distress on the top.

Then, I spray some water on it with my Spritz Bottle! I love the effect this spray has on the Distress Oxide.

I continue with TCW454 Specimens and another color of Distress Oxide.

I spray a little more water and hold my Art Journal upright to make drips.

I take TCW347 Kaleidescope again and I apply the black texture in different places with TCW9009 Black Modeling Paste.

I add, by doing the same thing as before, Some more patterns on my page.

I adhere my vintage image, found on Pinterest, with TCW9045 Matte Gel Medium.

I cut flowers from a magazine that I glue on my page with TCW9045 Matte Gel Medium.

Tip: I have a box full of decoupage that I find in magazines, they are sorted by categories. Small, simple things that cost nothing and always serve to beautify my pages!

Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
