“The ocean awaits” Mixed Media Art Journal

Hello Crafty Friends,

Marie-Christine with you today with a new Art Journal page for this second creation in July. Heat, sun and if we went to the beach to enjoy the good weather! Let’s go there and go back in time! For this, I used the wonderful stencils TCW888 Dendritic, TCW784 Flamingos, TCW847 Wave, TCW920 Tropical Fronds, TCW613 pretty Succulents, TCW2101 Profile with Dots Bit.

I start by making the background with acrylic paints.

Acrylic paints.

Once the bottom is dry, I use TCW784 Flamingos and TCW847 Wave with TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

While the two stencils are drying, I prepare some succulents with TCW613 Pretty Succulents and TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste. I color them with watercolor paints and cut out.

Now I can put color on my two stencils with watercolor and then adhere my vintage image found on Pinterest.

You may have noticed that I use a lot of vintage images on my creations. I find these most of the time on Pinterest. So I decided to create a Pinterest board, especially for you, where you can find these images and many more to enhance your creations or reproduce my tutorials. here is the link : Images used in my creations

I continue with TCW888 Dentritic at the bottom of the page and TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

Then, I do the same at the top of the page with TCW920 Tropical Fronds and TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

I color these two stencils with watercolor. I stick the succulents. I add some flowers cut from scrapbooking paper, at the top and I put a little color on my vintage image.

I add some circles near the flamingos with TCW2101 Profile with Dots Bit and I adhere the title. Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
