Sometimes it’s as simple as color on a background and a little bit of dimensional shape to make a fun journal page. I often find myself so caught up in making something with lots of detail and layers that I forget to bring it back to basics and just enjoy colors and shapes.

I think this is why I love art journaling so much. I can just play and experiment with supplies and make something abstract.

I used the TCW830 stencil with TCW Black Modeling Paste to create the dramatic black shape texture.

I also used the TCW Super Thick Gel to adhere the sentiment. This gel is soooo strong and dimensional but it spreads like butter! I love it so much.
