Art Journal Page – GREEN

full green art journal page

Hello again TCW friends

Great to be here with you this morning sharing another fun TCW blog tutorial and video!

In today’s page, I am using the TCW905 – Leaf Emblem; TCW246 – Swiss Dot (of course!) & some black gesso – TCW9002

Green was my theme…can you tell?

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

As always, if you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here is the page, step-by-step…

1 – paint the entire page one single colour. you can mix two shades of the same color for some interest

2 – Using TCW905 – Leaf Emblem stencil and TCW9002 – Black Gesso stencil through the stencil. Then blackout the other side of the page with the same gesso or a matte black paint.

3 – Next use TCW246 – Swiss Dots and the same color as your page, stencil though to create dots (flower centers). Leave a small section in the middle blank ready for some lettering.

4 – white paint pens, gel pens & fluoro paint pens create all the petals of the flowers and smaller flowers all over the page (see video for details)

5 – Hand letter a quote into the blank space in the center of the page. I chose an Henri Matisse quote.

“There are always flowers for those who wish to see them ” –

basic hand lettering

6 – The final step is important to give depth to the page. Use a dark tone of the same theme color to shade around the stencil and shadow the corners.

7 – More doodles and flowers can always be added 🙂

I do hope you have enjoyed this walkthrough of my page and the video. Hopefully, it gives you some inspiration to create your own single color themed page.

Have a great day!
