5 Minute Birthday Cards for Boys

Hi everyone! It’s Lindsay here with you today, from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog and YouTube Channel. I am so excited to be sharing today’s video tutorial with you. It is all about creating easy 5 minute birthday cards for boys, specifically pre-tees/teenagers. This is such a hard age group for me to create for, but I came up with a few ideas and thought I would share them with you all! Watch the video tutorial below for all the details!

Creating birthday cards for preteen boys is always a challenge for me. I'm sharing a few ideas on creating quick and easy birthday cards for those boys!

The Video Tutorial

The tutorial above contains products that were sent to me free of charge for design purposes. I only ever design for companies I can stand behind 100%!

Making the Cards

3D Celebrate

The new Geo Netting stencil is perfect for creating quick birthday cards! I love the optical illusion this stencil creates!

It’s always hard for me to come up with ideas for these cards, but when I seen the new Geo Netting Stencil and it’s 3D like effect, I knew it was perfect for creating simple boy birthday cards. My son loves optical illusions, and this is definitely one of them!

A fun font sentiment is the final touch to all of these birthday cards. I love sentiments that fun and funky fonts!

I ink blended a bright orange through the stencil and all that was left to do was add a sentiment! A fun font really helps make this more of a pre-teen card.

You Rock Birthday Card

All the cards I create can't be video game cards, lol! When I seen the new Landscape stencil, I knew the bars would be the perfect music style card! A You Rock sentiment finishes this card perfectly!

There are a few more steps to this card, but it’s still just as simple! I started by die cutting a panel with a circle die. On the circle, I stenciled only the lines part of the new Landscape stencil. When I seen this stencil, I thought the lines looked a lot like the lines you see on a sound system. I stenciled just the lines with a bright blue ink.

Because the outside sentiment isn't a birthday sentiment, I added it to the inside of the card! Plus this makes it easier on my son. All he has to do is sign this handmade card.

Then, on the outer panel, I used the Micro Dots stencil and a bright green ink to add a little more interest this card. Again, I went with a fun font “You Rock” sentiment, which isn’t a birthday sentiment, so I stamped that on the inside of the card!

I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today. If you are interested in any of the stencils I used today, you can find them linked down below. Until next time, happy crafting!!
