Choose happiness…and gold gesso

It’s Kassy here today to share a really shimmery, gorgeous card!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

First, I used Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste on kraft card stock and the TCW830 stencil.

After the modeling paste dried, I used Ken Oliver’s Color Burst in Tangerine and Orchid and sprinkled a little bit of each powder on the card stock and spritzed it with water. It soaks into the modeling paste and creates some really cool texture. While the Color Burst was still wet, I added some Gold Gesso that I thinned with water to the card base. It looks really fantastic when it dried and some of that shimmer settled between the texture layers!

Before adding the embellishments to the card, I had to put some gold and black splatter on the background using the Gold Gesso again and also some Black Gesso. It really helps to finish this design.

I added a sweet cut out of a girl and gave her some wings and stamped the sentiment and cut out each word. It is all adhered with double sided adhesive.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
