Hey there Friend.
I am back today with an art journal page. 🙂
**The Crafter’s workshop provided me some products to create this project. The opinions I share, however, are solely my own. :)***
If you want to watch the process video, you can find it here:
To start off, I reached for my A5 Art journal and started putting some Dina Wakley paint down with a paint brush. I made some circles and patches that blend together and some just abruptly end. I wanted to break free from my normal backgrounds that all blend together (Although I love them too.) These elements in the background will form part of my focal points later.
Now to add some texture and interest to the background. I use the same color pallet as in the background, to stencil. First up I use TCW834 Stone Increase in some of the circles.
Next I add more texture in the olive color to the bottom and in the dark blue areas with TCW835 Plaid Fringe. This looks so stunning.
Lastly I use TCW851 Dotted rings with the dark blue color, which just make it pop.
For the focal elements, I add some Art by Marlene Die cuts.
I also add shading around them, using my stabilo all pencil, and activating it with water.
Lastly, I add some mark to the circles in the background and make extra random marks using regular oil pastels.
Loving this look.
And that’s the page done!! I hope you enjoyed this project and got inspired!
