My New Art Journal Cover

Hi Everyone! Today I’m going to show you how I decorated my new art journal. This one is a small journal that I found for $1.  I painted the cover and all the pages with TCW White Gesso. I found a piece of book paper and used the stencils below to create collage paper to add to the cover.

TCW807s – Script Dots
TCW764s – Number Scramble
TCW762s – Shapes
TCW834s – Stone Increase

I adhered the paper to the journal with TCW Gel Medium Matte. When it dried I added paint and sprayed it with water. I was having fun so I covered up most of the collage paper.

When it dried I added Number Scramble and Script Dots stencils to the cover.

I also found some tissue paper that I created with Stone Increase and added that to the front cover to finish it off.

Here is what it looks like closed.

I’ve already started some of the pages inside. I think I’m going to continue using the same colors. I love working small because sometimes I just don’t have a lot of time.  Do you like to work small?

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
