Stenciled Home Decor – Easy Tag Door Hangers

Hi everyone! It’s Lindsay from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog & YouTube Channel, here with you today sharing another video tutorial! Today’s tutorial is a little different from my normal paper crafting / cardmaking tutorials, it’s home decor! This project is so easy to make, especially with the help of The Crafter’s Workshop line of home decor stencils! You can watch the full video tutorial below for all the details!

**THE CRAFTER’S WORKSHOP SENT ME SOME OF THE PRODUCTS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL, HOWEVER, ALL OPINIONS EXPRESSED ARE SOLELY MY OWN! I ONLY DESIGN FOR COMPANIES I STAND BEHIND 100%!**

I am in love with the Rustic Sign Stencil line from the Crafter’s Workshop and I have used them a few different times here on the blog and in video tutorials. You can check those at HERE and HERE! This project is so simple and requires very little wood and tools.

I started by cutting two 16″  pieces of wood from a 1″ x 4″ board with my miter saw. Then after drawing two angles at the top of each board with a triangle, I used my miter saw to cut the angles and create the look of a tag.

Finally, with my drill and a larger bit I drilled two holes at the top of each tag and then quickly sanded. With that done I brought my tags inside and started painting! I used cheap acrylic paint in Ivory for the base color and black for the stenciling. I chose to use the Let Love Grow stencil, but there are so many fabulous stencils in the home decor line to choose from so be sure to check them all out! After attaching a bow to the top this door hanger was ready to go up!!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s home decor project! I had so much fun making it and absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! If you are interested in the stencil I used today, you can find it linked down below. Until next time, Happy Crafting Everyone!!
