In the video I am sharing several different ideas for creating some fun kaleidoscope cards with hidden die cut sentiments inside! These cards are so simple and easy to make, and you can completely customize this technique to fit your card making style! Be sure to watch the video below for all the details!

These cards look a lot more complicated than they truly are to put together. And though each card looks completely different, they each have the same steps involved. Stencil and ink blend a background then cut it up and add a mat to each layer. You can use die cuts or your paper trimmer. Die cut a sentiment and add dimension before you inlay it back into the space you die cut it from. It’s really that simple! But here are a few tips and tricks to help you make these simple cards even easier to assemble!
First, take your time ink blending and use the tools that work best for you. The main focus on these cards is the stenciled background. You want to be sure to take your time and make it look as nice as possible! Ink blending can be a little tricky, but I suggest playing around with different blending tools to find what works best for you!
Also, for this technique nesting die sets are probably the easiest to work with. This technique can be done with your paper trimmer, and I show you a few ways to do that, but in my opinion you get the best results when you use nesting dies to cut your layers.
Finally, let’s tackle the hidden sentiments. Have a bowl ready to deposit ALL of your die cut pieces into. There’s nothing worse than losing one little piece you need to inlay! Liquid glue is going to be your friend on this project, so you can easily manipulate and move pieces around. And finally, dimension is KEY! There are many ways to pop up your sentiments and use whatever method works best for you, but be sure to add it!
