Picture Perfect Mixed Media Layout

Happy Thursday TCW Fans!!! Today I am back with another video but this time I created a scrapbook layout using some pretty cool products. So sit back, relax and I hope you enjoy my tutorial…. remember the process video will be at the end of the blog post xx

I started with a piece of Bazzill white cardstock and tore some strips of Tissue Paper, then applied them to the cardstock using TCW9011 Gel Medium Matte. I used my heat tool to dry once I was happy.

Next I applied some crackle medium around the edges of the tissue paper. Once dry I then used Distress Oxide Sprays in Faded Jeans, Walnut Stain and Fossilized Amber to build my background. I used a paint brush to move the sprays around the page until I was happy and made sure to dry in between colours.

I love using this stamp by Darkroom Door – Number Border, it is perfect for the boy layouts. I stamped it randomly with black archival ink.

The next step I wanted to add some more texture so using TCW835 Plaid Fringe stencil in the 6×6, I used a bristle brush to apply Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

I then used TCW9027 Grecian Gold Modeling Paste and TCW737 Love Sonnet 6×6 stencil just to add a little “Pop” to my layout.

I inked the edges of some corrugated cardstock using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and created some tags using some patterned cardstock from my stash. For the chipboard title, I applied some TCW9001 White Gesso and then used Distress Oxide Ink to colour it. I used the same 3 colours as the sprays.

To finish off the layout I inked around the edges of the cardstock with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and added some splatters.

Thanks for dropping in and I hope you enjoy my process video below
