Wild and Free Flowers – A Mixed Media Collage

I create backgrounds on watercolor paper just by adding leftover paint, stamps, and paper scraps. I cut the large pieces into smaller sizes to create more art like this one. It makes it so much easier to create art for me when I don’t have a lot of time.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

Using TCW842 Wild and Free stencil I add it with Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

You’ll notice I only used part of the stencil. I love the large round flower on the stencil and only wanted to use that part.  When the paste dried I painted it.

When this dried I added an outline with a white paint marker.

I added a few words and I was finished. If you look closely you’ll see tiny bees buzzing around. I found this stamp in a tag sale. No markings so I don’t know where it comes from but I love to use it.

I love when art comes together quickly and I love the colors. Do you create lots of backgrounds to start your projects?

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
