Hi Everyone! My daughter’s birthday is on Halloween and she gets two cards one pretty and one Halloween card.  Today I’m going to show you her birthday card.

For the backgrounds I used the following:

• TCW491s XOXO
• TCW684s Bird Gathering
• TCW764s Number Scramble
• TCW779s Wild Roses
• TCW807s Script Dots
• TCW815s Magnolia Blossoms
• TCW823s Rose Bouquet
• TCW Heavy Body Acrylic Paint – Spun Sugar
• Ranger Distress Oxide Inks

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I took white card stock and added all the stencil designs above with TCW Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in Spun Sugar.  Once it dried I put Ranger’s Distress Oxide on my craft sheet and added water. I just took the card stock and rubbed it in the ink.

Using this technique and different colors of the ink I created tons of backgrounds for cards.

One card I added TCW815s Magnolia Blossom to the card with TCW Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

As you can see above the Distress Oxide Inks are reactive with water and so the modeling paste picks up the color. Love when that happens.  When the paste dried I added paint to the flowers and finished the birthday card.  To color the flowers I used this technique that you can read it HERE.

My daughter’s birthday is extra special since it’s her 30th and with those beautiful flowers and the swans painted by her grandmother, she will save this card forever.
