Hi Everyone! I can’t believe it’s September. I love summer and wishing for the warming weather to last for a while. Today I’m going to show you how I used TCW721s Big Wreath and turned it into a climbing vine.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.
First I painted the substrate with TCW Black Gesso and crackle paste. When it dried added the Big Wreath with TCW Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste in different areas to make it look like it was a climbing vine. I waited for the modeling paste to dry a bit and then I added the roses.
Once it was completely dry I painted the vines and roses and added a quote.
I even added the vines and roses to the sides.
To finish it I added with a sponge TCW Gel Medium to each side and added Seth Apter’s Baker Texture Vintage Bees Wax by Emerald Creek Craft Supplies. Since I used Gel Medium instead of embossing ink it heated up bubbly and uneven. I was going to add more but I really like the uneven look.
Here is the finished piece.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. You can see all the New Stencils and Mixed Media Goodies on Scrapbook.com.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
