Hello dear crafty friends,
It’s Marie-Christine today with a special tutorial.
This is my first altered tin, I thinking of doing some more later, to offer to my friends. You can imagine and create several themes. Here, I chose a vintage beach scene.
***The crafter’s workshop provided me some products to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.***
How to do
First, I ate the sardines in oil, LOL
Next, I colored around the edges and inside of the tin with TCW 9001White Matte Opaque Gesso and TCW9021 Blueberry Pie Heavy Body Paint.
When it was dry, I made two backgrounds with the same TCW803 Distressed lace stencil. One with Distress Oxyde Inks and the other with TCW9044 Light & Fluffy Modeling paste and TCW9023 Blue Jellybean Heavy Body Paint.
After I made my backgrounds, the next step was to cover the bottom of the tin with a piece of my Distress background.
I stuck my vintage image and my title on a thick paper with TCW9045 Matte Gel Medium, and cut them when it was dry.
I added the image with 3D foam squares adhesive and then others embellishments ( wood, sand and shellfish that I painted with TCW9042 Sterling Silver Modeling Paste.
I put some colored gaze on my second background before to stick my tin on it. You can imagine a lot of scene with this project. This is mine!
If you make one, please let me see!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Until next time!
