Perfect Moment Mixed Media Layout by Farrel Tailor

Hello TCW Followers!

Today I am sharing with you all my latest scrapbooking layout using some of my favourite products from the Winter 2018 release.

Please excuse the quality of some of the photos as I was away on a crafty weekend and the lighting wasn’t the best…. let’s get started.

TCW9001 Matte gel medium

To start off with my layout I lightly apply TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium to seal my page. I have used 7 Dots Studio range – Writer’s Block. I tend to do this with all my layouts as 9 times out 10 I have no idea where my layouts will take me and it is better to be prepared.

TCW9001 white gesso

Next I use my silicone brush to add strokes of TCW9001 White Gesso to the area that my photo will go. I have used short strokes rather than long ones – I think it gives more of a grunge look.

TCW9033 Marcasite Silver Modeling Paste

Once the gesso is dry I then use TCW790s Micro Bricks stencil and TCW9033 Marcasite Silver Modeling Paste. I have to say this is my new favourite modeling paste!!! It is just amazing – really creamy and the colour is stunning.

TCW790s Micro Bricks Stencil and white gesso

Next I tear up some Corrugated cardstock and using my finger, I lightly rub some TCW9001 White Gesso and adhere to my layout. I decided for this layout that I would keep my chipboard raw. Here I have used Industrial Globes and Mini Chains – 10pk.

TCW9027 Grecian Gold Modeling Paste

To finish off the background I used TCW9027 Grecian Gold Modeling Paste and watered it down so that I could splatter it. I also did the same using TCW9011 White Gesso.

Next I created my photo mount using more papers by 7 Dots Studio – Writer’s Block and also added some chipboard by Dusty Attic.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial

See you again soon xx
