Wild Roses in My Art Journal

Hi Everyone! In my art journal I used a wonderful new stencil called Wild Roses, TCW799, designed by Art by Marlene to create my page.

Supplies: art journal, TCW Heavy Body Acrylics in Raspberry Sorbet, Kale Smoothie, Lemon Custard, and Spun Sugar, TCW White Pearl Modeling Paste.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I use many of my art journals for left over paint. I hate to waste good paint so I also have a couple of journals open ready for paint.  When I opened this journal this is what the page looked like before I started.

I put the stencil on top of the page and used a sponge to add the paint. When I lifted the stencil it looked like this.

Next, I mixed White Pearl Modeling Paste and Raspberry Sorbet Heavy Body Acrylic paint to make this gorgeous pink paste.

I put the stencil back on my page and added the paste through the stencil for the roses. It gave them more dimension and the color is gorgeous. You must try it.

The wonderful thing about using your art journal for left over paint is all the texture in the background. It really helps start an art journal page because sometimes it’s hard to start from a blank page.  Here is the final page.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. You can see all the new stencils and Mixed Media Metallic Modeling Pastes on Scrapbook.com.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
