Note: I am a Design Team member for The Crafter’s Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own.
As you might know by now, I am pretty obsessed with the fluffy modeling paste. I love the way it easily spread across the stencil and the way it dries. It is an amazing product and I never get bored to used it.
To start my project, I glued few pieces of textbook and tissue wrap paper. I get asked a lot why I always start my project this way. The answer is easy: this is a quick and easy way to add texture into the background. I do not really care if the words are saying something or not, i just use them as a background starter. When the gel medium was dry, I added gesso over it to tone down the paper a little and set aside to dry again.
Then I took the modeling paste and two of my favorite stencils and I used a palette knife to spread the fluffy paste.
I let completely dry. Since I wanted a more textured affect, i speeded up the drying process with the heat tool. I let it cool completely before adding color. This took only a couple of seconds.
I added watercolors to the background and when i was happy with the mix and blending I let it dry.I grabbed my sewing machine and stitched all around the tag two times trying to make messy stitches.
With a black pencil I added some shadows in the corners.
Finally I added the paper dolls and stickers to add some sentiments.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this easy project!
