Hello everyone!
I am Zoey and today I want to show you how I used the new TCW744 Wanderlust and TCW455 Stencil Love Post to decorate this Art Journal page
Supplies needed :
- TCW744 Wanderlust
- TCW455 Stencil Love Post
- TCW9001 White Gesso
- TCW9008 Clear Modeling Paste 8 oz.
- TCW9005 Modeling Paste
Note: I am a Design Team member for The Crafter’s Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own.
The base of my art journal page is just a couple of pages from an old book I bought at the thrift store. I glued the papers together to make them thick then I added the clear gesso and let it dry. I also added a couple of washi tape to create a bit of interest and covered again with another layer of clear gesso.
When the clear gesso was dry, I added some white gesso that i watered down a little to make it more fluid. I used a make up sponge to do so because I wanted also texture. I let it dry completely before adding the rest.
I added modeling paste through the Wanderlust stencil and I made sure to add a really thin layers because I just wanted just the hint of the stencil. With another sponge I applied the black gesso through the Love Post stencil.
I let it dry then I grabbed my water colors and started adding colors here and there. I love adding watercolors over modeling paste because the colors then run in all the nook and crannies creating awesome 3d effect. I let the layers of colors dry and as I was waiting I created my cluster with the photo. This step was easy, I just randomly cut pages of the same old book, old ephemera, bingo card and stacked up together. I used black watercolor to help them blend with the background otherwise they were too yellowish.
My final step was to glue everything to the page and sew all around the borders for a finished look.
Here’s some photo of the project I made!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this easy project!
