Large Textured Rose Card

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited to be starting my new term in the TCW Design Team.  First of all a little about me…my name is Alexandra but you may of heard of my blog Hedgehog Hollow. I am a papercraft blogger with a love of anything to get me inky.  Whilst I mainly create cards, I also love to make canvas’s, scrapbook pages of my two daughters and of course I love to help with school art projects!  We are very much a family affair, my two girls craft with me on camera and my husband does all the camera and videography work, he paid for engineering at university by taking photos of events for the campus.  I very much love stencils and you will find all sorts of ways of using them on my YouTube channel; however, lots of the mediums are new to me and I am so excited to learn them and I hope you will follow along the journey too.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Today I am using the new 6×6 Large Rose Stencil with the heavy bodied acrylic paints.  I love how creamy these paints are to work with.  I also really enjoyed how you could completely mix them for custom shades or like I used in today’s project you can get some amazing shading that runs through your project as showcased in today’s tutorial.  First of all let’s take a look at the project…

Finally here is the second picture from the video, please feel free to pin any of my images to refer back to, plus of course you can save the video in your playlists, I would also love it you shared my video with your crafty friends!

Now of course you need a supply list to make your own card, my video on heat embossing can be found here.  The following list contains affiliate links for which I receive a small commission when you shop, at now additional cost to you.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, don’t forget to check the TCW blog regularly for inspiration from my fellow design team members, I am really enjoying learning their mixed media techniques.  I will be back on the 22nd for more ideas and inspiration.  You can also check by the Hollow for daily inspiration, plus I have a daily facebook live on all sorts of papercrafting topics, every weekday at 11.30am EST, plus its posted on the page to watch anytime.  Do leave me a comment below on your favorite stencil technique, I love getting to know all the readers out there.

Happy Stamping!

  1. So enjoy everything you do. Great tips and talent. I love to make cards and scrapbook with my grandchildren. I have been making cards for people at church that need encouragement and get well thoughts. I also make little tags to encourage children at school.
    Thx for all you do
