Stencils and Embossing – A Last Minute Decoration with Karenliz

Hi Everyone!
I created this last minute Christmas decoration using Mini Christmas Lights stencil.
I also used Beacon Adhesive Power-Tac, a wooden kit, acrylic paints, embossing fluid, embossing powders, wooden stars, and snow.

The first thing I did was paint all the wooden pieces with TCW’s White Gesso and then painted the trees green. I left the deer white.

To add the stencil design to the trees, I used embossing fluid reinker. This one was real old but still worked. You can use any embossing ink pad you have on hand. I added a little bit of the stencil in one spot, embossed it and then continued.

Here is a finished tree.

For the base I left it white and used red and green acrylic paint through the stencil. I added a little glue here and there and added snow.

To put it all together I used Beacon’s adhesive called Power-Tac. It’s just like E6000. Power-Tac has a little less order than E6000 and it dries a little faster as you’re putting things together. It does take 24 to completely dry. The other thing I like about it is it’s not hard to squeeze it out. To make sure you don’t get the top stuck on with the glue, after use wipe the excess glue off with alcohol.

Here it is all finished.

Here it is from the top so you can see how the base looks.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafter’s Workshop Stencil and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

See You Next Year!!!
