Creating Stenciled Camouflage Cards with Karenliz

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a cool technique to show you.
Are you making a lot of cards but your hands are tired of coloring in all the stamped images?
Let’s camouflage the images!

KarenlizCamoBirdsCard (6)You can achieve this look with any background stencil design and you’re favorite colors.
I used Mini Stockinette and Mini Circle Grid stencils for this card.

First I used the Mini Stockinette stencil with fluorescent blue, yellow and green acrylic paint.

KarenlizCamoBirdsCard (1)On top I used the Mini Circle Grid stencil in blue and white. I moved the stencil around so you can see both colors.

KarenlizCamoBirdsCard (2)Here is another background but I switched up the colors.

KarenlizCamoBirdsCard (3)On the other backgrounds I created, I stamped the Crazy Birds stamps by Tim Holtz and cut them out.  I auditioned the birds to see which background I liked best.

I create what I call “card fronts”. I don’t ever finish a card completely until I need one. I create most of my card fronts to fit on 5.5 x 5.5 cardstock. I do this so the card can be for any occasion and all I have to do is add what’s needed to the front and attach it to the cardstock.

Here is my finished card front.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I hope you enjoyed my camouflage technique!
