ATC House with The Crafter’s Workshop

Good Morning Creatives!

Keri Sallee here and today I am sharing a project I started WAY back in November.

You might remember back in November I did a post called ATC Fun with The Crafter’s Workshop and at the time I wanted to make a “home” for my ATCs so I worked on another project simultaneously. However…as so many project do…I didn’t finish it and it got stuck on a shelf.

Recently, I’ve been going through all those old projects, looking at them through different eyes and finally finishing them up.

This little house started out like this:

hobby lobby

After some fun painting, stenciling and all-around good time…it looked like this:

Hobby Lobby and DecoArt

For this project I used 5 TCW Stencils (all 6×6 size.)

and

TCW554ButterflyCollage

TCW527S-Word Association

TCW586S-Raven Mosaic

TCW623S-Life Words

TCW595S-Tied Pebbles

TCW554S-Butterfly Collage

Here are some more pics of my project:

My Butterfly Collage stencil added fun “siding” to my house.

I added just fun, whimsical swirls and roofing by hand painting and using the end of my brush to make dots.

How perfect is the NEW “Tied Pebbles” stencils for the walkway around my house?

I really wanted my project to just be fun and messy and almost like a 3-D coloring book.

A little up close of the yummy texture. I {heart} modeling paste!

I used Washi tape to “frame” my windows and doors and then outlines them with black acrylic paint to make them POP and match the rest of my house.

Materials:

Paper Mache House (Hobby Lobby)

DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic (Carbon Black)

DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint (Purple Pizzazz, Electric Pink, Citron Green)

DecoArt Dazzling Metallics (Peacock Pearl)

DecoArt 1-Step Crackle

Golden Glass Bead Gel

Daler Rowney White Gesso

Liquitex Basics Modeling Paste

Washi Tape (Hobby Lobby)

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and you are inspired and encouraged to pull our those old projects and FINALLY get them done.

XOXO
