Laugh as Much as you Breath Mixed Media Piece

Good Morning Creatives!!

It’s almost SPRING!! Are you so excited!?

If you still have the winter blues, today’s project is for you. It’s all about remembering to laugh and bright, fun colors.

Laugh as Much as you Breath Mixed Media

For this project, I used 3 different stencils. The “Mini Stepping Stones” and “Moving Vines” were both 6×6, while the “Graceful Moths” was 12×12.

My background was used by mixing DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint with Modeling Paste and scraping it across my canvas with an old gift card. At the end, I also splattered it with some Tattered Angels Glam in Chandelier for extra sparkle.

My butterfly is made using a graphite paste that is thick like a modeling paste but has a little sparkle! I also added some around the edges of my canvas to act as a “border” to keep the eye on the canvas.

I wanted to keep the fun brightness going, so I added splattered of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Cobalt Teal Hue and Imagine Crafts IRESISTables in Neon Yellow. I also used my “Mini Stepping Stone” Stencils and plain modeling paste to add some fun white dots.

To finish up my project, I used my “Moving Vines” Stencils and modeling paste for the word “laugh” directly on my canvas.

TIP: Use tape to cover up the rest of the words because we will do those a different way.

For the “as much as you breath” portion, use a sponge and Archival Ink by Ranger in Jet Black to sponge your words on to white card stock. Cut the card stock out and use matte gel medium to adhere it down.

I also added some DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Black around my title to make it POP against my bright background.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and it inspires you to get out of the winter blues and into the springtime brights!!!

XOXO,
