Gelatin Print Mini Book

Good afternoon stencil lovers! This is Rachel Kleinman here to share a little book I created made out of finished gelatin plate monoprints.

The entire book is created with finished printed pages. Sometimes after a good monoprinting session I don’t always know what to do with all the finished printed pages I have. This book is an easy way to keep them all in one place as a display.

The fun thing about gelatin printing is that you can use the same stencils and same paints and still end up with 3 completely different looking prints. My book has a total of 12 pages/prints and measures 5″ x 3.5″.

Putting the book together was pretty easy. I started by folding each finished page in half. Then I adhered the back of one page to the back of the next page, making sure the creased edges were all on the same side. Then I trimmed a piece of adhesive fabric to create the spine binding. Finally, I cut two more pieces of a finished print to glue on as the front and back covers.

Now I’ll share some of the inside pages!
