Stencils + Apron = Wearable art!

Hello, Its Leeann here today. Ok so I’ve had this apron for like ever! Its from the scrapboxx retreat I went on years ago, like a decade ago. Over that time I have wiped my painted and inked hands on it. And decided a couple of days ago that I wanted to add a little more color to it. So lets check it out!

I used some of my favorite new stencils:TCW559 Triangle Sunburst, TCW570 Woven, TCW562 Shattered trianglesTCW541 Believe Script.

TCWNOV 022TCWNOV 021Once the ink was dry I used some making memories foam stamps with paint and randomly stamped a letter/numbers strip. Be creative and turn the numbers/letters around and also upside down… I love being a little quirky about stamping.

TCWNOV 013 Once the paint has dried, grab a doodle gel pen and outline your stamping. This makes it pop.

TCWNOV 015Add extra detail by using your mini stencils and stamping ink. I love doing this! Once you are happy with your painted and inked design, allow to dry.

For extra detail add some rub-ons, buttons, machine stitches and some lace trim. Here’s a few close ups…

Thanks for popping by today. I hope you were inspired to add a little more color to your apron.
