Quoth the raven, Nevermore with Karenliz

Hi everyone!
I love Halloween and today I have a small home décor item you can hang up for Halloween.

I bought this small wooden palette at Michael’s. It’s 5×5 with a string attached to easy hanging.

I painted it with DecoArt’s Fluid Acrylic in Titanium White and Traditions Raw Umber.

When it dried I stamped the background with Archival Ink in Jet Black.

I added the Elegant Motif stencil with the raw umber paint by DecoArt.

On top of the stencil I stamped with jet black archival ink the Crowscape Stamp by Stampendous to the background and added a little titanium white paint.

I added the Shadow Tree stencil with Liquitex Super Heavy Gesso. When it was dry I painted it with gold and raw umber acrylic paint.

I used the raven from the Tim Holtz Raven and Scaredy Cat die to the bottom of the palette.

I added the image of Edgar Allen Poe (Red Lead Paperworks) and the frame painted gold (Michael’s Recollection) to the frame.

To finish it off I added some additional raw umber.

Any stencil can be used for Halloween or any holiday. It’s so much fun to create a special decoration that you can pull out every year.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
