Hello! I’m so excited to show you this new 2015 stencil called Whimsical Shrooms (TCW578)

Don’t you love it? You can use it to create your own garden; think fairies, recipe cards, art journal pages, and my project, easy cards. The wonderful thing about this stencil is there are 12 designs in one stencil. I decided to use the flowers and butterfly to create my easy cards.

All I used was modeling paste (Liquitex) and paper scraps in neutral colors. Looking through my scraps I found these papers plus one with blue paint on it. When I create cards, I try to use only three colors. For me it keeps the cards balanced in color and texture plus it doesn’t out shine your focal image.

I cut the scraps to fit on my cards and added the flowers and butterfly with modeling paste. Done! It’s a super way to create cards.

While the modeling paste was wet, I added some glitter on top. If you wanted to add color, you can paint the dried modeling paste.

This is a great way to use your paper scraps plus an easy and quick way to make cards. I hope you try it.
