Cabbage Rose Stencil embellishment…

Hello, today I am sharing with you how I made  this Cabbage Rose embellishment for this card.

Here are the two stencils I used for this project.

12 x 12 Believe Script – I used this stencil on the base of the card. The medium I used was black gesso. Do this step first and allow it to dry naturally. TCW541BelieveScript and 12 x 12 Cabbage Roses – Continue reading for instructions on HOW TO  for the Cabbage Rose embellishment.TCW514CabbageRosesTo start of I  used texture paste and the cabbage roses stencil on white card stock. I used a heat gun to dry my texture paste as I wanted to add more texture to the Cabbage Roses. you will notice when speed drying the texture paste bubbles and pops. Adding heaps of lumpiness…awesome texture.TCW august 5 001Once the texture paste was dry I used liquitex ink (pyrrole red, vivid red orange and vivid lime green) and painted this on. Allow the ink to dry.TCW august 5 003 Next I used my Faber-Castell pritt big brush pens and added shading to my Cabbage Roses. I  used  shades of reds and oranges on the roses and shades of green on the leaves. Allow the pen ink to dry. Once dry cut out the roses and leaves. Simply layer your cabbage roses and leaves, add your title and other little embellishment and then adhere to all ready made card base.TCW august 5 006and finally just add some ink to the base card once the cabbage rose embellishment has been adhere.
TCW august 5 008and here we have the finished card… ready to send to a gorgeous friend who loves roses!TCW august 5 009Thanks for popping by and i hope you have been inspired to next time create an embellishment using your stencils!
