Whimsy Garden Tree Art Journal Page

Hello dear friends, Carmen here with a very colorful art journal page for you.  This week’s page was inspired by my dear cousin who is a Breast Cancer survivor.  She went through Chemo treatment at the same time I did for Ovarian Cancer and our relationship and bond as cousins became even closer.  I wanted to create a page that showed the courage she showed, which was as strong as a tree.

I started the page with gesso and then spritzed it with DecoArt Media Line ink spray in Magenta.  Then laid The Crafter’s Workshop stencil TCW540 Striped Flower Circles and spritzed it with Media Line Turquoise spray.

The tree was created with The Crafter’s Workshop TCW521 Whimsy Garden using DecoArt American Acrylic paints in Raw Sienna for the trunk and True Ochre for the branches.

I used my favorite Fudeball pen to outline some of the details of the tree and then adhered a printable butterfly with some gel medium.

This is a simple art journal page, but the details of the stencils combined with the vibrant colors make for an incredible page.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today and make sure you check back soon for more inspiration from our team!

Blessings,
