Hi Everyone. Karenliz here. I am so exciting to show you this cool technique for faux marbling.
This was not going to be today’s post but while my project was drying I played with modeling paste and paints. I was so excited about the results that I had to show you.
Isn’t it cool looking?
Here are the supplies I used.
You can use any color combinations you like. One tip: Only use up to three colors plus white because adding any more colors can turn it into mud. These are the colors I used.
When I’m going to use paint on cardstock I paint it with Gesso first before applying anything else. Sometimes the paint soaks through the cardstock and the gesso stops it. I always use 110 lbs. cardstock or mixed media paper.
Once the Gesso is dry I put the stencil on top of the paper and added paint in different spots on the card.
Then lift off the stencil and see the amazing results.
Once it dried I created this card with it but the possibilities are endless.
I love this technique and it looks so cool. It’s an easy way to add marbling on paper. Let me know what you think. You have to try it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
