De-stressing: an art journal page

My life this summer seems to be in fast forward! So I turned to one of my favorite ways to quiet my mind and de-stress…doodling.

Doodling...a great way to de-stress! On the left side of the page, I sprayed directly through the stencil. I then flipped the wet stencil over onto the right side of the page to print the design.

This time I sprayed through the stencil on the right page and flipped the stencil to print the design on the left page…lining up the stencil as best I could.

I absolutely LOVE how it came out! And, bonus…the goal of de-stressing was accomplished! How do you use art journaling and/or doodling to decompress?

Thanks for joining me today!

  1. Beautiful! I like to color and doodle when I get stressed, too. I also color when I can’t sleep. I have had chronic insomnia for years. I have tried everything the doctor and my friends and family recommended, but nothing helps as well as coloring. An hour in my craft room coloring, doodling, journaling, and stamping helps me to decompress. Then I can usually fall to sleep. If I wake up a few hours later and have trouble getting back to sleep, I head back to my desk for a few more minutes of creative therapy! It works for me.
