Hi friends! Carmen here today and I’m sharing with you one of my favorite creative mediums. ATC or Artist Trading Cards may only be 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″, cut you can pack so much creativity into them, and that’s what I love about them!
I used TCW539 – Doodles Pattern 12″ x 12″ stencil. It has 9 different patterns on it and they are the perfect size to fit onto an ATC card. I had some Inchie Arts cards handy, they are so durable and can really hold a lot of texture.
I first applied a layer of gesso and then used some DecoArt Media Line modeling paste and crackle paste on the cards.
The first card had a chevron pattern and I applied some Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Mustard Seed all over the card. I did used a baby wipe to spread the stain. Then I used the stencil again to add some acrylic paint and give it a mirrored effect.
Add a little washi tape from my stash and stamp on the words Seek Your Dreams.
The next 2 cards I have some vibrant color with DecoArt’s Media Line Misters and some drippage effect. The card with the triangles I did add some washi tape and embossed some UmWow chipboard pieces with black embossing powder.
This card I left for last because I wanted the crackle effect to be complete. I spritzed on some walnut ink and heat dried it. It gave the card an old and vintage look.
To finish this card off I rubbed on some DecoArt Media Line Antiquing Cream in Patina Green to give it a patina. The washi tape with the vintage stamps completed the look.
There you have them… 4 different ATC cards all from one stencil. Now that’s versatility!
Thanks so much for visiting with us today. Make sure you stop in often, because there’s always something being created here!
