3 Stencils – 3 Mediums

Hi there!  This is Jenni here with my first post as part of the new Design Team!  Yay!  I am super excited to share a layout I made using 3 different stencils and 3 different mediums- spray mist, Distress Inks & modeling paste.

For my first project I wanted to use a couple of my favorite stencils.  I wanted to use the ‘Number Collage’ stencil since this is a layout about long friendships.  I used the large ‘Confetti’ stencil with some spray mist so the splatters would draw your eye from the photo up to the top of the page.

I used washi tape to mask off top of the cardstock.  I held the stencil in place and used Distress Inks in a range of greens and blues blending them together as I moved it across the page.

Finally, I used the irregular solid circles from this 12×12 stencil, ‘Well Rounded’ to add some texture and focus to the area I planned to place my photo.

I tinted the white modeling paste with silver paint and mixed it in a plastic container.  If there are left overs, I can save it for another projects.

I used some patterned paper and a few other embellishments to cluster around the photo.

I hope this inspires you to combine stencils, mediums and techniques on one project! Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
