Hello everyone!
It’s officially springtime and here in California we’ve been having beautiful sunny days! I decided to make a layout using an older photo of my daughter on a springtime trip to a poppy field.
To make the background more interesting, I started the page with a white oil pastel crayon and the Impressions TCW502 stencil and the Daily Buzz TCW528s stencil, both from the new winter 2015 collection.
The effect is subtle but when I painted the page with watercolors, the oil pastel designs “resisted” the paint.
Next, I took a Stabilo pencil and outlined the flowers with the 12×12 size Daily Buzz TCW528 stencil.
Then I took some glitter paint and outlined over the pencil markings….
and painted the petals using Fireworks ink spray by Imagine Crafts in Summer Sky.
Here’s a detailed close up.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you find some creative time this weekend!
