Present tags & stencils

Hi there, today I´d like to share with you some quick and easy tags I created. They are perfect for little presents and also can be added as decorational elements to different kinds of artworks.

I first took a piece of watercolor paper and created multi-colored backgrounds with Distress Inks and water. After that layer was dry I mied some texture paste together with various acrylic paint colors and then just started adding the paste onto the watercolor paper pieces.

After that I added some ink splatters here and there in various colors that matched the color scheme of the particular tag. I then went and added all kinds of decorational elements and even stamped some sentiments to my tags. Finally I just added a piece of ribbon on top. While I was at it I created quite a few backgrounds at once. It is kind of addictive once you start.

For this last tag I just changed the texture paste to embossing paste and mixed it together with some green glitter. Once the paste is dry the glitter will not come off and it is much more cleaner and easier to work with the glitter once mixed together with the paste.

I also glued some of the backgrounds onto card bases to create a series of small cards. I used some stamp images to highlight the cards and added a suitable sentiment to go with the image.

On projects like these I like also to use up some older stash. For example the big flowers are ones I bought when I first started scrapbooking and that is a while back. When you mix and match you can use up quite a few older products at once :). I hope you give this idea a try! Have fun!

Happy creating,
Sanna
