Happy New Year! Wishing you all JOY

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Do you have New Year’s resolutions?
I don’t have any. I never keep them anyway so why make them.
I thought I would create this small 6×6 canvas to remind to choose joy each day.

First I chose the Beaded Curtain stencil (TCW474) and molding paste to add layers of texture on the canvas. When the molding paste dried I added blues, greens, and white acrylic paint.  Then when that was all dry I repeated the process.

Lots of layers. It looks so cool in person.
I used the round frame from the Hand Drawn Frames stencil (TCW474) and used white acrylic paint to add circles on the canvas. Tip: This stencil has many frames on it and it’s hard to use when you only want one frame.  This stencil I have cut up into individual pieces and added duck tape all around each piece so it’s easy to handle it on projects.

Karenliz_TCW_CanvasbWhen the frame dried I added blue paint around the circle with a fine line paint bottle. The word Joy is white fabric stickers that I used diluted paints to add some color. I actually used my own handwriting for the word Choose.

Karenliz_TCW_CanvasJoyWhen I wake up every morning this will remind me to choose joy for the day.
I hope that you can all CHOOSE JOY during 2015.

HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND JOYOUS NEW YEAR!

  1. I love your canvass. What wonderful texture you have made! You used my favorite color combo. I really must find the two stencils you used especially the beaded one.

I wish my local store would carry more choices in TWC stencils. I have bought all the ones they carry as I hate buying online. The shipping is usually more than an additional stencil!
